All in all, the Tobin-Arp rod boring machine is an amazing piece of post-WWII industrial design. I'm really enjoying bringing this neglected beauty back into production. However, like an old machinist once told me about a shaper, "Wonderful machine; you can make anything on it, except money."

Have any of you ever fit pin bushings with a tobin arp pin bore machine? Sometime bore your bushings to size and slide a wrist pin in there, than take it to your pin hone and just touch it. To me it seems like the pin feels alittle tighter.
